Role and Responsibilities

Mind & Memory Care Director Elida Zepelda plays a vital role in nurturing a warm and engaging environment for residents in our Mind & Memory Care neighborhood. She provides supervision and coaching to all resident care associates, ensuring they feel recognized and supported in their roles. She is dedicated to supporting and monitoring the quality of resident services, striving for high levels of satisfaction among residents, families and associates alike.

Industry Expertise

Elida worked as an activities assistant in a nursing home before joining The Commons in 2019 as the programming coordinator for our Mind & Memory Care neighborhood. In late 2022, she was named traditional care director for Assisted Living and was promoted to mind and memory care director in February 2024.
Elida worked in customer service for about ten years in her native Guatemala before coming to the U.S.

Passion for Senior Care

Elida says her grandmothers inspired her work in the senior living industry. “My grandmothers mean the world to me,” she says. “Treating seniors with dignity is honoring them.”

Milestones

Elida earned her nursing degree from Wachusett Community College and is a registered nurse.

Personal Interests

In her off-hours, Elida enjoys spending time with her family and walking with her dog, Casper.
